Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Defense Operations Quality Systems Leader to establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Defense Quality and Safety Management System for Defense Engine Operations. The role partners with regulators to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and internal GE requirements.

Leading Quality Systems and Safety teams, the role focuses on governance, risk management, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost across Defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality, Engineering, or operations experience).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with audits, CAPA, and document control processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Defense Operations Quality Management System team structure and staff accordingly.
• Partner with Global Quality Systems and Defense Engines Operations for alignment of roles/responsibilities.
• Define the Safety Management System strategy, resourcing and execution for Defense Operations.
• Develop talent and succession planning for Defense Quality Systems and coaching leaders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and accountability in GE Aerospace.
