Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the development and delivery of compliant responses for U.S. federal and defense opportunities.

You will own the proposal process from planning through submission, coordinating engineers, product leaders, and business development to create clear, compelling content. The role is hands-on and writing-focused, requiring excellent writing, editing, and project-management skills, with onsite work in our DC office and light

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Five+ years of experience managing proposals for U.S. federal, defense, or national security customers.
• Hands-on experience writing and editing technical proposals, RFIs, white papers, or similar responses.
• Ability to quickly learn complex hardware or software and translate into clear content.
• Experience leading proposals from solicitation analysis to submission.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of proposals, RFx deliverables, and market-research responses.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, product, and business teams.
• Manage multiple concurrent proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Edit contributions into a consistent voice while maintaining accuracy.
• Improve templates, content, and checklists for future proposals.
