Job summary

Serco is seeking an Operations Vice President of Defense Programs in Washington, DC, to provide executive leadership for a $150M+ annual DoD portfolio with a 360+ global workforce. This role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, US citizenship, and a strong track record in DoD program management and organizational leadership.

The VP will shape strategy, drive operational performance, and grow customer relationships across Navy acquisitions, modernization, and in-service maintenance programs,

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Master's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• 12 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in DoD programs.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and deliver operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic growth and operational performance of a DoD portfolio.
• Provide executive leadership to Business Directors on Navy programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to support growth and customer satisfaction.
• Manage portfolio financial performance, forecasting, and cost control.
• Drive innovative, technology-enabled solutions across mission areas and contracts.
• Engage with senior government stakeholders and industry partners.
• Drive business development, pipeline expansion, and organic growth.
