Job summary

Textron Systems in Waterboro, ME, seeks a Project Manager to own a subset of a major defense program under a Sr. Program Manager. You will drive program execution with strong organization, teamwork, and clear communication, collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 5+ years of PM experience, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and supplier interfaces. Security clearance eligibility is required; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
• 5 years of experience on project teams with schedule development/monitoring and risk management.
• Willingness to practice hands-on management and drive timely execution across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, contracts, finance, scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in MS Office; eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial, technical, and schedule requirements of program components to deliver technically acceptable products on time and within cost.
• Develop and present formal briefs to internal and external audiences; review and edit content from stakeholders; lead internal dry runs.
• Understand Integrated Master Schedule and critical path for program subset; execute mitigation for on-time completion.
• Support CAMs in execution to a baseline budget with accurate Estimates to Complete and variance reporting.
• Interface with suppliers and Textron Systems’ procurement to communicate program updates and changes.
• Collaborate with engineering and assembly on the floor; communicate progress internally and externally.
• Assist with proposal generation and submittal to the customer.
• Other duties as assigned.
