Textron Systems is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead a team of project and program managers in the development of a major strategic weapon system.

The ideal candidate will translate strategic vision into program execution and maintain excellence for the team while supporting the warfighter. The role requires a strong background in defense programs, Earned Value management, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, contracts, finance, scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences or similar is required.
• 10 years of relevant defense industry experience.
• 5 years of program management experience on defense programs.
• 2 years of experience managing people.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional partners including engineering, contracts, finance, scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
• Experience evaluating program risks and opportunities.
• Experience executing Earned Value Management System programs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency in MS Office.
• Proposal development experience.
• Understanding of DoW contracts and FAR / DFARS.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial, technical, and schedule requirements of a major weapon system to deliver on-time and cost-effective products.
• Apply Earned Value techniques to maintain a rigorous baseline and explain variances.
• Coordinate IMS actions to ensure on-time completion of milestones.
• Assess risk and opportunities space for development and mitigate risks.
• Build rapport with internal stakeholders and interface with external customers.
• Coordinate leadership program reviews and customer events with high-quality briefing materials.
• Develop Project and Program Manager direct reports.
• Follow program management processes to meet AS9100 Quality certification requirements.
