Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Network Field Service Engineer to power mission-critical connectivity at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii. You will design, implement, and support secure network infrastructures for defense operations across the Pacific region.

The role involves analyzing LAN/WAN systems, configuring devices, and ensuring interoperability across platforms while adhering to DoD security guidelines and working with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years’ experience or eight (8) years of related network administration and analysis experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA, CND, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SSCP).
• Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft enterprise services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management).
• Experience in Circuit & Network Design.
• Experience with Type 1 Encryption Devices (KIV-7M) and TACLANE KG-175 D/G.
• DISA Circuit Management experience.
• Basic level understanding of network switching and routing technologies.
• Implementing DISA STIG Network Security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze local and wide area networks, planning and configuring OS and protocol suites.
• Resolve interoperability problems across platforms (email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing).
• Support hardware/software acquisitions and subcontractor services; document results.
• Administer and maintain LAN/WAN; provide user support and troubleshooting.
• Plan network layout and administer network security.
• Serve on multiple functional teams (Incident Management, Installation, System Performance, Network Performance, Patching).
• Manage usage and performance of voice, video, and data networks.
• Maintain network security and ensure policy compliance.
• Interface with vendors to resolve outages or performance issues.
• Develop testing strategies and document results.
