Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available networks supporting national defense missions.

You will apply deep knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and network security, while working across teams to modernize client infrastructures and ensure reliability. A TS/SCI clearance is required or must be able to obtain per contract.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and secure network infrastructure.
• Proven ability to document network topologies, configurations, procedures and runbooks.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP stack and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, port‑channeling).
• Ability to manage and optimize network monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex network issues.
• Willingness to obtain Security+ within 60 days of hire.
• TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance across LAN/WAN.
• Develop and maintain network documentation including topologies and runbooks.
• Advise clients on modernization and security to support DoD missions.
• Collaborate with teams to meet defense-related requirements.
