Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Engineer to design and implement enterprise-grade networks for the Air Force mission. You’ll apply expertise in routing, switching, encryption, and network architecture to support on-prem and cloud integration, ensuring security, reliability, and performance.

You will document designs, runbooks, and security requirements; work with teams to upgrade infrastructure, analyze current networks, and address complex routing and connectivity issues.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or network security.
• Experience integrating commercial cloud environments with on-prem enterprise network services and security architectures.
• Experience implementing VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, gateways, private endpoints, and segmented network designs.
• Experience with BGP, route advertisement and filtering, IP address management, DNS, NAT, proxies, firewalls, high availability, and network monitoring.
• Ability to document designs, test procedures, operational runbooks, and security requirements and troubleshoot complex routing, DNS, firewall, certificate, MTU, latency, packet-loss, and connectivity issues.
• TS/SCI Clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise network architectures to support Air Force missions.
• Upgrade and develop infrastructure, troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Analyze current networks as we expand from on-prem to the cloud and increase security, reliability, and availability.
• Document designs, runbooks, and security requirements; troubleshoot routing, DNS, firewall, and connectivity issues.
