Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer – Machine Learning to join the Space Ground Systems team. You will bridge systems engineering, applied physics, and machine learning to solve missile-defense problems, designing track-fusion pipelines, threat-assignment algorithms, and sensitivity analyses.

You will implement modeling in Python or C++, work with sensor data, and contribute to mission-critical fire control systems. A U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret security clearance
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong math, physics, and programming foundations
• Experience with Python and/or C++, PyTorch or TensorFlow

Responsibilities

• Machine Learning: Research, develop, and deploy ML models such as generative AI, RL, deep neural networks, physics-based models.
• Algorithm Design and Development: Formulate and solve complex physics problems using mathematical techniques.
• Sensor Fusion & Tracking: Ingest sensor data, execute track fusion, and classify threats.
• Parametric & Sensitivity Analysis: Conduct trade studies and sensitivity analyses to validate performance.
• Prototyping & Modeling: Translate equations into Python/C++ for non-customer-facing modeling and verification.
• Mission Systems Architecture: Bridge low-level inputs to high-level mission outputs.
