Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for defense and aerospace applications.

The role covers full lifecycle engineering from concept to production, requiring hands-on lab work, 3D CAD, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to meet stringent requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience designing mechanical systems or electromechanical hardware.
• Ability to work in fast-paced product development environments.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for defense and aerospace applications.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and design documentation.
• Support hardware integration, testing, troubleshooting, and system qualification efforts.
• Analyze mechanical performance, reliability, manufacturability, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and implement design improvements.
• Support prototype builds and hands-on laboratory testing activities.
• Ensure designs meet technical requirements, quality standards, and program objectives.
