Job summary

AVX Aircraft in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a Business Development Intern to support defense market research, opportunity identification, and competitive analysis within the Strategy and Business Development teams.

You will work directly with company leadership on real federal pipeline activities, using SAM.gov and Hire.gov, and gain hands-on exposure to DoD contracting, AI-enabled research, and aircraft sustainment markets.

Qualifications

Pursuing MBA or related degree; strong interest in defense/aerospace/government contracting.
Experience with market research and competitive analysis in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort using AI research tools to synthesize data and forecast opportunities.

Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify DoD and federal contracting opportunities.
Track solicitations using SAM.gov, Hire.gov, and other databases.
Monitor solicitations, RFPs, SBIR/STTR opportunities, and sustainment contracts.
Perform competitive assessments including incumbent analysis and contract history.
Support development of opportunity briefs and pipeline tracking reports.
Leverage AI tools to enhance market research and data synthesis.
