Job summary

Firehawk Aerospace seeks a Logistician to lead packaging, handling, and shipping of energetics and weapon systems. You will ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, and DoD standards, coordinating with government agencies and contractors.

Responsibilities include coordinating packaging configurations, testing and certification, and managing hazardous materials with strict security and safety protocols. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications (APICS, CSCMP, Dangerous Goods) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics experience with energetics, explosives, or weapon systems.
• Experience with packaging/specifications review for hazardous materials.
• Experience with government contracting and defense logistics protocols.
• Knowledge of military logistics systems and procedures.
• Experience with explosive safety and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in logistics software systems (ERP, WMS, TMS).
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute packaging and shipping for energetics and weapon systems.
• Develop and maintain logistics plans for complex defense materials.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and transport providers.
• Manage inventory control and tracking for sensitive materials.
• Oversee warehouse operations and storage for hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with engineering on packaging design and specs.
• Review and approve packaging configurations for energetic materials.
• Coordinate testing and certification of packaging systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate packaging suppliers.
• Troubleshoot logistics challenges and develop innovative solutions.
