Recruit Staff Hire, LLC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy defense practice in New Orleans. You will manage complex matters from inception through trial, coordinating with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.

This role emphasizes strong case management, e-filing, and meticulous document control, with opportunities to assist with discovery, trial preparations, and calendar management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of defense litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures and deadlines.
• Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with legal software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery in state and federal courts.
• Manage case files from intake through resolution, including deadlines and calendars.
• Coordinate and prepare discovery responses and document production.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and witness files.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
• Summarize medical records, depositions, and case documents.
• E-file documents and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
