Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm in Las Vegas, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team. The role supports civil and defense litigation with emphasis on organization and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of paralegal experience, a bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate, strong research skills, and proficiency with Word, Westlaw, iManage, and document management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and paralegal certificate required.
• 3–5 years of defense litigation paralegal experience.
• Civil litigation and/or employment litigation experience required.
• Familiarity with web-based legal research and paperless systems.
• Must pass a background/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with civil case preparation for trial.
• Review, analyze, and summarize legal documents related to cases.
• Manage discovery and records; coordinate with staff.
• Schedule depositions and meetings with clients, witnesses, experts, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research to inform attorney decisions.
• Maintain case files and ensure timely progress on cases.
• Record time accurately; meet billable hour targets.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Westlaw, and PDF editors.
