Job summary

Jobot in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced litigation attorney to manage complex defense matters for public entities and organizations. The role offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation with annual bonuses, and meaningful courtroom exposure.

You will handle discovery, draft pleadings, take depositions, and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver exceptional client service. A strong track record in complex civil litigation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• 3-10+ years of litigation defense experience preferred.
• Background in insurance defense or complex civil litigation strongly preferred.
• Experience with Clio or other legal case management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery, disclosures, document production, and document review.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation related documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategy and perform legal research for complex matters.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
• Meet established billable hour expectations and maintain organized case management practices.

Job Details

Salary: $90,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Requirements
