Job summary

GM Defense seeks an Interior Validation Engineer to lead validation activities for interior systems across defense and specialty vehicle programs. Translate requirements into robust validation plans, coordinate test execution, analyze results, and drive issue resolution through program launch.

The role collaborates with design release, systems engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and program management to ensure interior products meet performance, durability, safety, and appearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years in vehicle interiors, validation, testing, or design release.
• Experience developing and executing validation plans and test procedures.
• Experience with data collection, troubleshooting and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interior validation strategies, plans and criteria.
• Plan, coordinate and execute validation testing in labs, vehicles and supplier facilities.
• Lead test readiness reviews including parts, test equipment and safety.
• Analyze test data, identify trends and communicate conclusions.
