Job summary

Union Technologies in Dallas, TX seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician to drive OEE gains on defense-critical production lines. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Controls to lift reliability, raise first-pass yield, and support FAT/SAT.

You will perform metrology, maintain equipment, and analyze production data using Excel and Python/SQL, documenting root-cause actions and training operators.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools and mechanical assembly.
• Read prints, GD&T, schematics; CAD experience preferred.
• Comfort with data tools (Excel; Python/SQL) to support decisions.
• Willingness to travel, including international assignments.
• Emphasis on safety, SWIs and able to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Run Kaizen events to improve Availability and Throughput.
• Identify bottlenecks with engineers and document countermeasures.
• Design, build, and fit simple fixtures and production aids.
• Diagnose issues using internal tools; perform root-cause analysis.
• Draft Manufacturing Instructions and train operators.
• Pull and analyze production data with Excel and Python/SQL.
• Support FAT/SAT; log results and release equipment to production.
• Perform precision metrology and basic preventive maintenance.
