University of West Florida seeks a Government Contracting Consultant to strengthen the state’s industrial base and small business ecosystem by guiding companies through federal, state, and local government contracting processes.

The role emphasizes readiness for DIB/GIB standards, cybersecurity alignment, and pursuing SBIR/STTR opportunities, with a focus on supporting regional partnerships in North Central Florida.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's with 8+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of government contracting processes, procurement regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to travel within the county and occasional overnight travel.

Responsabilités

• 60% - Compliance & Readiness: conduct readiness assessments, assist SAM.gov registration, ensure CMMC readiness and NIST SP 800-171 alignment, and provide guidance on government contracting requirements.
• 20% - Outreach & Education: develop and deliver workshops/webinars, build relationships with ESOs, UF Innovate/Accelerate, and other partners, travel regionally.
• 20% - Innovation & Emerging Tech: guide SBIR/STTR opportunities, connect clients with federal agencies, advise on integrating advanced tech into supply chains.
