Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Field Service Representative for a contract position based at our Madison Heights, MI facility with relocation to California in 2027. You will provide on-site technical support for vehicle platforms, train users, and coordinate with engineering and program management teams.

Travel up to 75% domestically and internationally may be required. The role requires a minimum 5 years hands-on experience in vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on vehicle/heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and standard hand/power tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of field service reports.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain required security clearances.
• ITAR/EAR compliance for positions; US citizen or eligible status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for vehicle platforms and subsystems.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customer and client engineering/ops/PM.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document findings.
• Deliver operator and maintainer training.
• Support vehicle fielding, integration events, and acceptance testing.
• Maintain service records, inspection logs, and parts usage.
• Coordinate warranty repairs and parts procurement.
• Identify opportunities for engineering changes based on field observations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and ITAR/EAR.
• Travel domestically and internationally for extended service assignments.
