Job summary

Agile Defense, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of secure data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets at Fort Meade, MD.

The role collaborates with data scientists, engineers, and mission stakeholders to process data using Databricks, Spark, Palantir Foundry, and related platforms. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data engineering or related fields, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with ETL/ELT, data quality, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field plus relevant experience.
• 3+ years in data engineering, software development, analytics, or enterprise platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data validation, modeling, and quality practices; familiarity with Spark, PySpark, Databricks.
• Experience supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Understanding of version control, testing, documentation, and Agile development.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Active US government security clearance.
