Job summary

Sofar Ocean is seeking a Defense Customer Success Lead to embed with U.S. Defense users, train and enable them, and problem-solve to maximize the value of Sofar Spotter hardware and data in defense environments.

You will build the defense customer success function, collaborate with multiple teams, and lead deployments in exercises and real-world operations. A strong DoD background, clearance, and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with the U.S. DoD.
• Clear understanding of navigating government processes and requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
• Curiosity and passion for marine technologies and their field applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed with Defense users to train, enable, and solve problems with Sofar Spotter hardware and data.
• Build and maintain the Defense customer success framework, onboarding playbooks, and success processes.
• Collaborate with Defense GTM, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to align solutions with market needs.
• Represent Sofar in military exercises (e.g., Balikatan) and drive product deployments and learnings.
