Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors—Sensor Research Analysis Division seeks a DevOps Software Engineer to build and sustain CI pipelines in GitLab for radar software. The role includes limited development work across Java and C++ products and requires on-site presence at a government facility in Huntsville, AL.

You will work with two software teams, uphold engineering ethics, and contribute to real-time radar simulation tools and warfighter training exercises. A US citizen with a SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM discipline; 4–8 years in software development including CI/CD.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell; strong Git workflows.
• Experience supporting Java-based and/or C++ applications; familiarity with IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CI pipelines within GitLab for two software products; contribute to software development as needed.
• Work on-site daily at a government customer facility; coordinate with two software development teams and represent Leidos technically and ethically.
• Collaborate across diverse technical teams and support mission-critical radar systems testing and deployment.
