Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville is seeking a highly capable C2 Systems Engineer to support advanced defense programs. You will develop analytical tools, perform system-level evaluations, and contribute to mission-critical solutions in a fast-paced technical environment.

The role requires US citizenship, a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, 5+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a current DoD SECRET clearance. Travel up to 10% and on-site work expected.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of progressively complex software engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with system analysis, data processing, or radar/sensor systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting system testing, validation, or verification.
• Ability to participate in customer meetings, document findings, and remediate issues.
• DoD SECRET clearance currently possessed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review plans and reports to ensure system and software operations meet requirements and design specs.
• Perform system-level analysis to identify performance issues and optimization opportunities.
• Conduct detailed performance analyses, generate actionable insights, and suggest improvements.
• Translate technical requirements into simulation configurations and test cases in virtualized environments.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve performance and reliability.
• Support troubleshooting across distributed systems and infrastructure.
• Contribute technical documentation, reports, and customer deliverables.
• Assist in planning and executing engineering tasks to meet program deadlines.
