The 10-week, full-time internship emphasizes hands-on engineering drawings, testing, and report generation, under experienced mentors. Candidates pursue a BS in EE, CE, Engineering Tech, or AE and must be authorized to work in

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with electronic test equipment preferred but not required.
• Electronic drafting experience with Siemens Capital preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical systems including interface wiring diagrams and harness assemblies using computer based drafting tools (Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics).
• Utilize electronic test equipment to verify avionics and electrical systems meet design requirements, and/or for system troubleshooting in the lab and/or on aircraft.
• Prepare engineering trade studies, functional test procedures, certification plans, ground and flight test plans, certification reports, and other engineering documents.
• Write technical descriptions of subject matter pertinent to design or test requirements.
• Evaluation and analysis of avionics and electrical system designs.
