Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and develop security-related functionality for next-generation airborne communications. You will interact with project teams, security functions, international partners and customers to deliver robust solutions.

The role involves requirements management, architecture studies, security modeling, and producing technical reports, with hybrid working options and a strong focus on learning and collaboration within the Defence sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in the development of military and/or civil communication systems.
• Experience in security protocols such as authentication and encryption.
• Graduate degree in engineering, mathematics or related scientific discipline.
• Knowledge of UK high grade requirements.
• Knowledge of embedded system development and firmware development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Management of system requirements.
• Feasibility studies to determine system architecture.
• Modelling of security functionality.
• Producing clear and concise technical documentation for your work.
• Support to the Project Engineering Lead to plan and develop work packages and subsequent reporting against these.
• Engage with customers and suppliers as necessary and maintain good team working behaviours.
