Job summary

Danos seeks a Deepwater Operator A to oversee startup, operation, monitoring and shutdown of offshore process and utility systems, ensuring performance and quality while managing safety. You will troubleshoot to optimize production, witness calibrations, maintain records, and coordinate logistics, reporting daily production data and complying with environmental guidelines.

Requires 4-6 years offshore production experience and ENG1 or equivalent medical clearance; this on-site role offers

Qualifications

• 4-6 years offshore production operator experience.
• 3-4 years offshore deepwater operating experience preferred.
• Some control room operating experience preferred.
• Understanding of PTW systems, JSAs, and offshore safety practice.
• Medically fit to ENG1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, monitor and shut down process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain and optimize process parameters within operating requirements.
• Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon.
• Witness third party calibrations to verify meter factors and volumes.
• Maintain discharge water quality within SBMPC or local guidelines.
• Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, fire and gas systems.
• Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by company and client.
• Coordinate logistics for facility.
• Chemical treating and handling.
• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
• Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment.

The position of Deepwater Operator A entails overseeing the startup, operation, monitoring, and shutdown of process and utility systems, ensuring they operate within specified parameters and meet quality standards. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting to optimize sales quality and delivery volume, maintaining compliance with environmental guidelines, conducting equipment testing and maintenance, and facilitating a safe work environment through risk assessments and clear communication. Additionally, the position involves maintaining accurate records, witnessing calibrations, and fostering positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, monitor and shut down process and utility systems.
• Monitor, maintain and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure etc.) within operating requirements.
• Ensure sampling is carried out and sample results are acted upon.
• Troubles shoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume to identify problems.
• Maintain discharge water quality within current SBMPC or local guidelines.
• Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown devices, fire and gas systems.
• Ensure accurate production reporting is submitted daily or as required by company and client.
• Witness third party calibrations when appropriate to provide verification of meter factors and volumes.
• Prove export oil meters.
• Carry out all operations in safe and environmentally sound manner.
• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
• Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment.
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
• Coordinate logistics for facility.
• Chemical treating and handling.
• Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4-6 years experience working offshore as a production operator required.
• 3-4 years offshore deepwater production operating experience preferred.
• Some control room operating experience preferred.
• Understanding of PTW systems, JSAs, and offshore safety practice
• Good experience of permit to work.
• Medically fit to offshore international standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
