Job summary

Danos seeks an experienced Deepwater Mechanic to operate an offshore production facility, perform testing, calibration, maintenance and inspections per customer specs. You will handle mandatory paperwork for clients and government agencies while troubleshooting turbine compressors, generators and related equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years offshore mechanical experience, familiarity with subsea equipment and permit-to-work processes, and SAP/computer literacy to support maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-8 years mechanical experience offshore on a production platform.
• Experience with offshore deepwater rotating equipment preferred.
• Solar Turbine experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Subsea equipment and permit to work systems.

Responsibilities

Overview

The position of Deepwater Mechanic entails operating an offshore production facility according to customer specifications, conducting testing, calibration, maintenance, and inspections of equipment, and completing mandatory paperwork for both customers and governmental agencies. Additionally, responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment such as turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, and reciprocating equipment like pumps and compressors.

Responsibilities

• Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements
• Test, calibrate, maintain and inspect equipment
• Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies
• Maintain and troubleshoot, turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3-8 years mechanic experience working offshore on a production platform
• Offshore deepwater rotating equipment experience preferred
• Solar Turbine experience preferred
• SAP experience and computer knowledge
• Should be familiar with Subsea equipment
• Familiar with permit to work system
• Organization skills to maintain platform
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment
• Creating policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats
• Needs to have technical mechanical skills
