Job summary

Jamul Casino is seeking an EVS Attendant to provide friendly, fast cleaning and guest service across the casino floor and back-of-house areas. You will perform deep cleaning, mop and polish floors, operate cleaning equipment, stock supplies, and report problems to Environmental Services leadership while following safety and licensing rules.

The role requires teamwork and adherence to uniform standards. The position may involve lifting up to 75 pounds and working in a loud, smoke-impacted

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Six months deep cleaning or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Must acquire and maintain appropriate gaming licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to guests and team members.
  • Perform deep cleaning duties across all casino areas and maintain EVS standards.
  • Mop, scrub, rinse, and polish floors.
  • Operate and clean cleaning equipment; stock supplies.
  • Report problems or equipment failure to Environmental Services leadership.
  • Attend required training and maintain safety and policy compliance.
  • Meet uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
  • Recognize and ensure appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mixing appropriate chemicals.
  • Move, rearrange and clean furniture.
  • Report any problems, including property damage or equipment failure, to Environmental Services leadership.
  • Mop, scrub, rinse and polish hard floors.
  • Safely operate and control all mechanical equipment as necessary to perform job duties assigned as well as maintain and clean machines after use.
  • Perform deep cleaning duties in all areas of the facility and perform EVS Attendant duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Stock and supply all service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Frequently maneuver in small, limited spaces and use ladders and/or mechanical lifts, as well as clean ground level areas.
  • Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
  • Complete daily work assignments and responsibilities.
  • Use two-way radios and maintain professional radio etiquette at all times.
  • Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
  • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work as a team with other employees
  • Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment
  • Must be able to work with various cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT/ UNION

This position is represented by a collective bargaining unit.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Must be able to efficiently and accurately count money and gaming chips and make a change. Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
