Job summary

TCI is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee multiple transportation operations, lead high-performing teams, and drive operational excellence across a defined region in Modesto, CA. You will strengthen customer relationships, improve profitability, and coach leaders to help the company grow while maintaining core values.

You will manage P&L, drive key metrics like on-time delivery, and partner with safety, maintenance, HR, and payroll to achieve results. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
• Experience managing multiple locations or departments.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L management and budget oversight.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and transportation safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance with data-driven decisions.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Strong customer relationship management and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Driver Managers, Dispatchers, Administrative teams, Drivers, and Dock personnel across multiple terminals.
• Own the operational and financial performance (P&L) of your assigned region.
• Drive KPIs including on-time delivery, scanning efficiency, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
• Build partnerships with customers through regular business reviews and visits.
• Identify operational challenges and develop action plans for underperforming locations.
• Partner with Safety, Maintenance, HR, Recruiting, and Payroll to ensure excellence.
• Reduce operating costs through labor management, fuel optimization, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, safety policies, and maintenance standards.
• Coach and mentor leadership teams through EOS L10 meetings and Rocks.
• Promote use of McLeod, Samsara, Tenstreet, and customer portals.

Are you a strategic operations leader with a passion for developing people, improving performance, and delivering exceptional customer service? As a Regional Operations Manager at TCI, you'll oversee multiple transportation operations, lead high-performing teams, and drive operational excellence across your assigned region. What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop Driver Managers, Dispatchers, Administrative teams, Drivers, and Dock personnel across multiple terminals.

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top talent that aligns with TCI's Core Values.
• Travel throughout your assigned region (up to 50%) to support operations and customers.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
