Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking a Special Education teacher to develop IEPs, provide intensive support, and collaborate with families and school teams. You will adapt lessons, assess progress, and track outcomes to help students achieve academic goals.

The role includes tutoring, ARD participation, and coordinating with general education staff to maximize student achievement. Qualified candidates will hold Texas SPED certification, have a Bachelor's degree, and prefer prior SPED

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting is strongly preferred.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet students' needs.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Assess progress and track student performance.
• Update IEPs to reflect progress and goals.
• Collaborate with families and professionals for student success.
• Provide tutoring sessions as needed and participate in meetings.
