Job summary

NIS Express in Sioux Falls is seeking qualified truck drivers for a dedicated reefer lane between Sioux Falls and Salt Lake City. Enjoy long hauls, strong miles, and home time you can shape around your life.

We welcome new CDL-A holders. The role offers guaranteed weekly training pay, and solid pay per mile with home time flexibility. Must pass drug tests and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• Trainees welcome; 120+ hours of CDL training required.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• Military experience considered with a valid DD214.
• No moving violations in the last 2 years; no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years; no DUI/DWI in the past 5–10 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Haul from Sioux Falls to Salt Lake City and back on a dedicated reefer lane.
• Maintain consistent loads with flexible home time.
• Operate in winter conditions along I-80; holidays often worked.

Job description

Sioux Falls drivers: this dedicated reefer lane runs from right here to Salt Lake City and back. Long hauls, big miles, and home time you can shape around your life.

The Money

• Average weekly gross: $1,600
• Mileage pay: $0.51 to $0.62 per mile based on experience
• Miles: 2,600 to 2,800 per week
• Stop pay: $25 per stop

The Lane

• Headhaul from Sioux Falls to Salt Lake City
• Backhauls from Utah and Wyoming into SD, IA, MN, and NE
• Mostly point A to point B and back, consistent loads
• Home time is flexible, talk to us about what works for you

Straight Talk

• Winter driving along I-80, with occasional closures
• Most holidays are worked, you can usually get Christmas or Thanksgiving off
• Day and night driving

New CDL Holders

• New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply
• 4 to 6 weeks over the road with an experienced trainer
• Guaranteed weekly training pay, then straight to full solo driver pay
• Must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school
