Job summary

American Driver is seeking CDL-A drivers for dedicated regional runs with steady weekly pay around $1,600. The position includes a training pathway for new CDL-A holders and long-haul routes with backhauls across the western/central states.

Drivers will handle live unloads/preloads as assigned, with safety and regulatory compliance emphasized. Home time varies, weekends required, and orientation pays are provided under the program.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL in your state of residence.
• 6 months OTR in the last 12 months or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• At least 21 years old with a valid CDL-A.
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no major accidents in 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive long-haul routes (Sioux Falls, SD to Salt Lake City, UT) with backhauls through UT/WY and SD, IA, MN, NE.
• Perform live unloads and preloads as assigned; no driver unloads.
• Maintain safety and compliance with regulations; complete new-driver training program.

Job description

Dedicated regional account offering steady averaging $1,600/week based on experience, with room for both new CDL-A holders and experienced drivers.

Pay Breakdown

• Mileage pay: $0.51 to $0.62 per mile, based on experience.
• Average weekly earnings: $1,600.
• Weekly mileage: 2,600 to 2,800 miles.
• $25 stop pay per stop.

The Freight

• Headhaul lane running Sioux Falls, SD to Salt Lake City, UT, with random backhaul freight through the UT/WY area back toward SD, IA, MN, and NE.
• Live unload and preload assignments — no driver unloads.
• Consistent point A to B and back lane structure, long length of haul.
• Winter driving along the I-80 corridor, with occasional weather-related closures.

Home Time & Schedule

• Flexible home time, both day and night shifts available.
• Weekend work required; most holidays worked, with the choice of either Christmas or Thanksgiving off.

Qualifications

• New CDL-A holders are welcome to apply. Our paid over-the-road training program includes: 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced trainer, guaranteed weekly training pay, and immediate transition to full solo driver pay after successful completion.
• Applicants must have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL training school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL in your state of residence.
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing; military experience considered with a valid DD214.
