Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's St. Rita's Medical Center seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver patient care under a physician's direction. The LPN will assess patients, document responses to care, and support the health care team during appointments.

Essential duties include collaborating with the care team, providing basic nursing care, and assisting with procedures under supervision. Active LPN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold an active LPN license or be eligible for licensure in the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One year of clinical patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team to meet patient and family needs.
• Provides direct basic nursing care following the LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Assists in clerical or administrative duties as directed by the RN.
• Acts as chaperone during patient examinations as requested.
• Supports procedures, treatments and interventions.
