Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver patient care under physician direction at St. Vincent Medical Center Medical Office Building 2. The LPN will prepare patients for visits, observe and report responses to care, and support the health care team throughout appointments.

This role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, accurate charting, and efficient scheduling, with responsibilities extending to brief clerical duties and potential assistance during procedures.

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One year of clinical patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to meet patient/family needs.
• Provides direct basic nursing care per the LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Supports indirect care through clerical or administrative duties.
• Acts as chaperone for health care providers during examinations.
• Assists providers with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
