Job summary

Workstream in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Cleaner/Janitor to keep our facilities tidy and well-organized. You will perform regular cleaning, restock supplies, and support building security and safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, proven janitorial experience, and strong communication and multitasking skills; you will work with various cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as Cleaner/Janitor.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Ability to respond quickly and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
• Gathering and emptying indoor trash
• Clean, service and resupply restrooms
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Engaging in building security and safety activities (checking and locking doors, checking electrical appliance)
• Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities
• Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Requiring supplies of the tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Organizing and executing spraying of fumigant and insecticides
