L’Arche Erie, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with disabilities in daily tasks. You will contribute to a home founded on trust, care, and mutual growth, supporting independent living and meaningful relationships.

You will join a diverse, inclusive team and promote health, safety, and dignity. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 40 lbs, flexible weekends, and a high school diploma are required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to fulfill a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. and transfer individuals.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsabilités

• Supports individuals with disabilities in personal care, money management, medical care, appointments, family and work connections, household chores, laundry, medications, and meals.
• Tracks individuals’ goals and support plans and documents information as needed.
• Communicates and self-advocates effectively with doctors and other professionals.
• Participates in team activities, including household maintenance, scheduled routines, and regular meetings.
