Job summary

The Arc Erie County New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) to provide in-home and community-based support. You will deliver person-centered assistance for activities of daily living and support community integration under the supervision of the Program Manager.

The role includes money management assistance, meal planning, documentation, and participation in trainings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Human Services experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent diploma preferred.
• In lieu of high school diploma, Arc Erie County training including SCIP, First Aid, CPR and Medication Certification is required.
• Human Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered assistance and training in activities of daily living.
• Assist people with personal monies and shopping needs.
• Assist people with community integration.
• Document services and progress; follow Staff Action Plan and agency procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; maintain communications with supervisor.
