Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a Dedicated Advanced Service Technician to maintain and repair Travel Center and EDO stores. Located at 3412 Lamar Ave., Memphis, TN, the role ensures operability around the clock, crossing multiple trades from HVACR to plumbing and fuel systems.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in retail maintenance, can lift up to 50 pounds, and is proficient with common tools and Microsoft Office. Training in HVACR/electrical is preferred; cross-training readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• General maintenance knowledge and repair procedures required.

• Food and Beverage equipment repair knowledge preferred.
• Fuel dispenser and pump repair knowledge preferred.
• Technical School training in HVACR or electrical preferred.
• Experience in a retail maintenance environment preferred.
• Basic Microsoft office knowledge.
• 4+ years work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve maintenance and service issues to keep Travel Center operable 24/7.
• Pressure wash stained areas and clean sections of the store daily.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms and all work areas.
• Maintain on-site trash.
• Ensure high-level skill and customer service in maintenance tasks.
• Serve as knowledge expert in HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and fuel systems.
• Accurately maintain equipment, tools, and inventory on site.
• Provide project support to cross-functional departments.
• Respond to ad hoc maintenance requests from store personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of local and state facility guidelines.
• Perform other duties and cross-train with other ASTs.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand/bend/reach as needed.

Job description

The Dedicated Advanced Service Technician is responsible for the continued maintenance and repair of the RaceTrac Travel Center and/or EDO stores they are designated. This individual assesses, develops protocol, and is responsible for the maintenance and appearance to ensure the operability of their store at all times.

This job is located at “3412 Lamar Ave. Memphis TN 38118”

What You'll Do

• Resolves maintenance and services issues at the RaceTrac Travel Center to ensure full operability 24/7, ultimately increases the profitability of the company.
• Treatment of stained areas with chemical degreaser and completely pressure washes sections of the store each day.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, and all other work areas.
• Maintain all trash on site during their shift.
• Ensures each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service.
• Serves as a knowledge expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice/beverage amenities, and petroleum dispensing systems.
• Accurately maintain equipment, tools, and inventory on site.
• Provides project support to cross-functional departments in various initiatives related to stores.
• Responds to additional ad hoc maintenance requests communicated from store personnel as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of local and state guidelines for facility services as necessary.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Works with other ASTs to cross train in multiple trades.
• Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand and reach while on the job.
