Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Deckhand for City Experiences’ waterfront operations. You will help maintain the vessel, support safe operations, assist with docking, and ensure guests have a comfortable journey.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Energetic, dependable and team-focused.
  • Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
  • Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to throw mooring lines from ship to pier.
  • Color vision adequate for navigation and safety.
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts.
  • TWIC certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers.
  • Assist with docking, undocking, and lines.
  • Monitor passenger areas and support safe vessel operations.
  • Participate in safety drills and follow procedures.
  • Maintain clean, safe decks and restrooms.
  • Assist with vessel maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Load/unload supplies and remove trash.
  • Support Captain and crew with daily operations.
