Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, Water Resources Division, Floating Plant Section seeks a deckhand to service derrick boats, crane barges, patrol vessels and survey craft operating in protected and unprotected waters.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform hull maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of decks and bulkheads.
  • Prepare vessels for movement and rig operations to lift/move loads.
  • Safely operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, hammers, drills, cranes and winches.
  • Work with floating plant equipment in various water conditions.
