Job summary

Moran Towing Corporation is seeking a Deckhand for Moran Baltimore on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will report to the Captain and Mate, and perform deck duties including ship docking, mooring, and lookout responsibilities. The role requires MMC or MMC within 60 days, TWIC, STCW if needed, and a medical exam CR.

Qualifications

MMC, or if exempt, apply for MMC within 60 days of start date.
TWIC credential.
STCW certification if required for service.
USCG 719k Medical certification.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

Responsibilities

Carrying out all lawful orders and directives from Captain or Mate.
Reporting unsafe situations or opportunities for improvement.
Performing duties safely and efficiently on deck and in engine spaces as required.
Acting as lookout when required during docking and operations.
Working on deck, including ship docking and tug mooring operations.
Conducting engine room rounds as required and staying familiar with vessel equipment.
Carrying out vessel and equipment cleaning and maintenance duties as designated.
