Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift 75–100 lbs and move heavy rigging safely.
• Must be 18 or older to board a vessel.
• Must have or obtain a TWIC credential.
• Experience with physical labor is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and check tow using wrenches, ratchets, shackles, chains and cables.
• Move and stack rigging on vessels and barges.
• Move pumps and hoses on barges and place hoses in wing tanks.
• Assist with locking, sweeping and shoveling barges.
• Carry rigging and pumps weighing 50–100 lbs.
• Work outdoors for extended periods in various weather.
• Daily vessel housekeeping and painting or cleaning tasks.
• Check barges for water or leaks, sometimes in confined spaces.
• Assist with stock deliveries to and from the vessel.
• Support skiff operations for crew access to shore.
• Perform periodic cleaning: trash removal, mopping, scraping, painting.
