American Cruise Lines is hiring deckhands for the 2026 season to work aboard our ships, ensuring a safe and seamless voyage while representing our brand.

This temporary assignment runs for 28 weeks with seven days per week on board, including meals, lodging, and uniform provisions. It provides hands-on hospitality and ship operations experience and supports career advancement within American Cruise Lines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required; alcohol use is prohibited on ship.
• Grooming standards apply; temporary employment not to exceed 28 weeks; advancement not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment under guidance of Captains and Mates.
• Perform exterior cleaning, line handling, and logistic support; stand helm and gangway watches.
• Assist with security, maintenance, and passenger assistance; load/unload luggage and supplies.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, and marine spaces; launder ship linens.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform appearance; assist guests and crew as needed.
• Work a 12-hour day-night rotation onboard the vessel.
