American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is hiring Deckhands for the 2026 season. You will work on our ships to ensure a safe and seamless voyage for guests, representing our brand.

This temporary, full-time onboard role lasts up to 28 weeks with travel, room and board, uniforms, and training provided. Expect 12-hour day-night shifts, seven days a week, across multiple itineraries.

Qualifications

• You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug testing for all shipboard employees is required.
• Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited onboard.
• Temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks; grooming standards apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment under Captains and Mates guidance.
• Perform daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and logistic support; stand helm watches with the Captain and Mate.
• Stand gangway and deck watches including security, maintenance, and guest assistance.
• Load/unload guest luggage, ship stores, and daily logistics tasks.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, furniture, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold ship laundry.
