Overview

Fence & Deck Depot is hiring a Deck Installer (Journeyman) out of our Wildwood, MO office to support field crews working throughout the greater St. Louis area. This role is full-time and year round with focus on Deck Installation for residential and commercial projects. If you enjoy hands-on work, carpentry and working outdoors, this is a great opportunity in construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Lead in laying out jobs.
• Take direction on job operations to deliver tasks with limited guidance.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Digging holes and using shovels.
• Using basic hand tools (tape measures, hammers, speed square).
• Using basic power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact screw gun).
• Reading a level.
• Driving vehicles.
• Working occasionally on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experienced with power tools (mainly circular saws and drills).
• Carpentry.
• Should enjoy working outdoors.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous deck experience is preferred, but not required.
• Able to read blueprints is preferred but not required.
• Concrete pouring / finishing is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Being able to lift up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Compensation And Benefits

• $29-$34/hour DOE. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $60k - $70k per year.
