Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) seeks a detail-oriented Decision Support Associate to support enterprise data integrity, state reporting, reimbursement analytics, and contract maintenance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, business analytics, information systems, or related field.
• Experience with healthcare financial, clinical, claims, reimbursement, or decision support data preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, including data review, reconciliation, filtering, lookups, and variance analysis.
• Ability to interpret data file requirements, validation reports, mapping tables, and system output to identify discrepancies.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, submit, and monitor state reporting files (Kentucky IPOP, West Virginia HIDI) per timelines and specs.
• Review overnight jobs and report issues to stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Monitor daily transaction posting audits for completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate zero-amount expected payments and troubleshoot mapping, contract, rate, or configuration issues.
• Maintain mapping and code tables for accurate reporting, analytics, and downstream processes.
• Maintain contract information, CMS factors, fee schedules, and related reference data.
• Perform reconciliation of Cost Detail and Encounter Payment data for integrity.
• Coordinate with Finance, IT, Revenue Cycle, Payroll, and others to resolve data issues.
• Support SOPs, change logs, and audit materials for recurring decision-support processes.
• Assist capital planning and labor workflow activities with accurate data and reporting materials.
