Job summary

WGI Inc. in Springfield, MA is seeking a Deburr Specialist to support production by preparing parts for marking and inspection. You will operate precision tools, read blueprints, and maintain documentation to AS9100/ISO9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Experience with precision tools and inspection methods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 documentation and traceability.
• 2+ years related work or schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and efficiently operate required tooling.
• Inspect work visually and dimensionally to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements including proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment, and maintain tools, gages, and a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct other related duties as assigned.
• Report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Deburr Specialists often assist our marking department using Dot-peen, Vibro-peen, Electro-Etch and engraving methods. Experience in these methods would be a plus.

• Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control. Confirm production and inspection paperwork is accurately filled out.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment, and maintain tools, gages, and a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adhere to safety regulations
• Conduct other related duties as assigned
• Report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor

• Preferred Minimum 2-years work experience or related schooling
• Proficient in blueprint reading
