Job summary

Verus Aerospace is seeking a skilled deburring technician to finish metal components in accordance with blueprints and specifications. You will grind, file, sand, and polish surfaces by hand and with power tools, ensuring parts meet dimensions and surface finish requirements.

The role requires 1-3 years of aerospace experience, ability to read drawings, and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, along with a commitment to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years prior experience deburring metal components in Aerospace industry.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, blue prints, work instructions and use standard machine shop tools.
• AS9100 experience desired.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; English proficiency required.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic shop math.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications.

• Remove metal burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools.
• Verify dimensions and radius, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
• Inspect and measure parts.

Position Requirements

• 1-3 years prior experience deburring metal components within the Aerospace industry is desired.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience working in an environment of continuous process improvement and track record of developing and implementing process improvements. AS9100 experience desired.
