Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing Group, LLC is seeking a Deburring Associate in Ipswich, MA. This full-time role focuses on deburring, buffing and polishing parts on the manufacturing floor, using belt sanders and other power tools, and inspecting for quality.

The position requires reading blueprints, following safety procedures, and logging scrap. You will support other manufacturing duties and must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills at or above high school level.
• Standing and walking 100% of time; lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Use of hand tools and power tools; read blueprints for deburring.
• Must work safely, be a team player and able to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, buff and polish parts as needed.
• Operate deburring tools and power tools.
• Inspect deburred parts for quality.
• Read blueprints to identify deburring areas.
• Track scrap and dispose of waste daily.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist manufacturing as needed.

Job Title: Deburring Associate

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:This position is primarily responsible for deburring, buffing and polishing parts as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be capable of operating deburring tools i.e. belt sanders, 90º sander, dyna file time saver, speed head and other power tools and how to use them as required.
• Must be capable of inspecting deburred and sanded parts for acceptable quality.
• Must be capable of reading blue prints and understand where to deburr parts.
• Responsible for buffing, polishing and washing parts as required.
• Responsible for tracking, logging and proper disposal of all scrap and waste material on a daily basis.
• Must follow procedures as assigned by Supervisor.
• Responsible for assisting manufacturing with any other duties as time permits.
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout all work areas.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work extended hours when required.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
