Job summary

Flex is seeking a skilled technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical assemblies in our Austin, TX manufacturing operation. This 1st shift position runs 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and focuses on diagnosing issues at the component level and ensuring equipment performs to spec.

You will operate electronic test equipment, review logs and test data, collaborate with engineers, and support installation, debugging, and validation of process equipment while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience repairing/mechanically and electrically in manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with analyzing logs from software/test protocols.
• Ability to operate electronic test equipment.

General Purpose:

Responsible for repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical assemblies within our manufacturing operation.

1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Principle Accountabilities:

• Troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
• Handles units that may have workmanship or technical errors.
• Operates electronic test equipment and conducts special tests as required.
• Analyzes software, test, protocol, and script logs to diagnose and verify reason for test failure.
• Verifies causes for failures and determines whether to send for repair or retest.
• Provides technical assistance, feedback, and guidance to other technical personnel and departments.
• Collaborates with engineers on functionality issues and procedure updates.
• Assists with the installation, debug, and validation of process equipment.
• Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
